Milling and Resurfacing on Route 199 in Washington and Roxbury
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 199 in Washington and Roxbury.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing of a four and a half-mile segment on Route 199 between Route 47 (Woodbury Road) in Washington and Route 67 (Baker Road) in Roxbury. This project is scheduled to occur Monday, July 30, 2012 to Monday, August 20, 2012.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2012 roadway milling and resurfacing program.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. One lane of alternating traffic will be maintained while work is being performed. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday).
One day of milling is anticipated (July 30th) with the resurfacing portion of the project resuming on Wednesday, August 8, 2012.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
