Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 148 (West Main/Water Street) in Chester
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that milling and resurfacing will be performed on Route 148 (West Main/Water Street) between Route 145 (Winthrop Road) and Route 154 (Middlesex Turnpike) in Chester.
This project is expected to occur Thursday, May 17, 2012, to Monday, June 18, 2012. The milling portion of the project will occur on Thursday, May 17, 2012, and resurfacing will resume approximately Thursday, May 31, 2012.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
