Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 229 in Bristol
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 229 (King Street) in Bristol.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.5 mile segment of Route 229 (King Street) between just north of First Street and Route 6 (Farmington Avenue) in Bristol. This project is scheduled to occur Wednesday, September 19, 2012 to Wednesday, October 3, 2012.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (weekdays). Three days of milling is anticipated, with the paving portion of this project scheduled to resume on Monday, October 1, 2012.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
