Milling and Resurfacing Project, Route 124 in New Canaan
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a roadway milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 124 (South Avenue) in New Canaan.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a two and a quarter mile segment of Route 124 (South Avenue) between the Darien Town Line and Cherry Street #1 in New Canaan. This project is scheduled to occur Monday, August 6, 2012 to Friday, August 17, 2012.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2012 roadway milling and resurfacing program.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (weekdays).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
