Milling and Resurfacing Project, Route 174 in Newington
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 174 (New Britain Avenue) in Newington.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a one and a quarter mile segment of Route 174 (New Britain Avenue) between the New Britain Town Line and the beginning of the Route 173 (Willard Avenue) overlap in Newington. This project is scheduled to occur Tuesday, September 11, 2012, to Thursday, September 20, 2012.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (weekdays).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
