Milling and Resurfacing Project, Route 74 in Willington & Ashford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 74 in Willington and Ashford.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 4.86 mile segment of Route 74 from Route 320 (Willington Hill Road) in Willington to Route 44 (Pompey Hollow Road) in Ashford. This project is scheduled to occur Wednesday, May 30, 2012 to Tuesday, July 3, 2012. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed from Monday, June 18 through Tuesday, July 3, 2012.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday). One lane of alternating traffic will be maintained while work is being performed.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
