Nighttime Closure and Detour of the Long Wharf Drive On-Ramp to I-95 NB in New Haven is Sheduled to Occur Tuesday, July 31, 2012
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime closure and detour of the Long Wharf Drive On-Ramp to I-95 NB in New Haven is scheduled to occur Tuesday, July 31st, between the hours of 10 PM and 5 AM. Closure and detour of the ramp is necessary to facilitate roadway improvements in the interchange.
Motorists wishing to access I-95 NB, I-91 NB, or Route 34 WB from Long Wharf Drive will be detoured. Signs will be posted to assist motorists.
All work will occur weather permitting and will be rescheduled if necessary.
The work in Contract E is part of the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing (NHHC) Corridor Improvement Program and includes the reconstruction of the I-95/I-91/Route 34 Interchange. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2016 which finalizes the I-95 Improvement Program and its 7.2 miles of operational, safety and capacity improvements.
