Nighttime Closure of the I-95 SB Ramp to Route 34 WB in New Haven Scheduled to Occur Friday, June 8, 2012
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime closure of the I-95 SB ramp to Route 34 WB in New Haven is scheduled to occur Friday, June 8th, between the hours of 10 PM and 10AM. This work is necessary to facilitate pavement repairs.
Traffic will be detoured during the nighttime closure. Motorists wishing to access downtown New Haven will be detoured to I-95 SB and Exit 45 (Ella Grasso Blvd) where they will be directed back to Route 34 WB via I-95 NB and Exit 47 (Route 34 Flyover Bridge). All work will occur weather permitting and will be rescheduled if necessary.
The work in Contract E is part of the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing (NHHC) Corridor Improvement Program and includes the reconstruction of the I-95/I-91/Route 34 Interchange. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2016 which finalizes the I-95 Improvement Program and its 7.2 miles of operational, safety and capacity improvements.
