Northbound Route 15 Ramp Closures Scheduled At Interchanges 44 and 46 in Fairfield, August 5 through 10, 2012, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The Connecticut Department of Transportations is announcing nighttime ramp closures to allow for paving the Exit 44 and Exit 46 entrance and exit ramps to Route 15 northbound in Fairfield. The closures will occur from August 5th through 10th, 2012, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

RAMP CLOSURE AND DETOUR INFO- Pre-warning of ramp closure will be displayed on changeable message boards and detour signs will be in place to assist motorists.

(Interchange 44) Route 15 North Off-Ramp to Route 58 (Black Rock Turnpike)

Detour Info: Follow Route 15 northbound to Exit 46 (Route 59, Easton Turnpike) and at the end of the ramp turn right onto Jefferson Street and then turn right again onto Route 59 (Easton Turnpike). After crossing the Merritt Parkway turn left onto Congress Street. Follow Congress Street to Route 58 (Black Rock Turnpike).

(Interchange 44) Route 58 (Black Rock Turnpike) onto Route 15 North

Detour Info: From northbound Route 58 (Black Rock Turnpike) turn right onto Congress Street, follow it to Route 59 (Easton Turnpike) and then turn right. After crossing the Merritt Parkway turn left onto Jefferson Street. After 0.1 miles turn left onto the Exit 46 Ramp to Route 15 northbound. From southbound Route 58 (Black Rock Turnpike) turn left onto Congress Street, follow it to Route 59 (Easton Turnpike) and then turn right. After crossing the Merritt Parkway turn left onto Jefferson Street. After 0.1 miles turn left onto the Exit 46 Ramp to Route 15 northbound.

(Interchange 46) Route 15 North Off-Ramp to Route 59 (Easton Turnpike)

Detour Info: Follow Route 15 northbound to Exit 47 (Park Avenue) and at the end of the ramp turn right onto Park Avenue. After crossing the Merritt Parkway turn right onto Route 15 southbound. Follow to Exit 46 (Easton Turnpike).

(Interchange 46) Route 59 (Easton Turnpike) onto Route 15 North

Detour Info: Northbound Old Town Road/Jefferson Street Traffic – A VMS Board will be placed at the corner of Park Avenue and Old Town Road alerting motorist to use the Exit 47 (Park Avenue Ramp). Make a right turn onto Park Avenue and then make a right turn onto the Exit 47 northbound on-ramp. Jefferson Street Southbound Traffic – Follow Jefferson Street to Park Avenue and make a left turn. Follow Park Avenue and make a right turn onto the Exit 47 northbound on-ramp.
