The pavement preservation project consists of the milling and resurfacing of the pavement including the bridge decks, ramps and the H.O.V. lanes. The project limits on I-84 are from Exit 57 (Route 5/15) in East Hartford to Exit 60 (Route 6/44) in Manchester, as well as a section on I-384 including ramps from I-84 to Silver Lane/Spencer Street overpass (I-384 Exit 1).
DOT Project No. 0042-0312 was awarded to Tilcon Connecticut Inc. of New Britain, CT on May 4, 2012 at a cost of $9,249,409.75 and is scheduled to be completed in October 2012.
LANE CLOSURE INFO -
The project is currently scheduled to work Sunday through Thursday night with lane closures beginning after evening rush hour. Schedules may change due to weather.
I-84 East: Sunday – Thursday from 7 p.m. or *8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
I-84 West: Sunday – Thursday from 6 p.m. or *7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
I-384 East: Sunday 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and Monday – Thursday 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
I-384 West: Sunday 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and Monday – Thursday 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.
HOV lanes and ramps for I-84 & I-384: 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
