Pavement Preservation Project on Interstate 91 Between Exit 8 (Route 17 & Route 80) and Exit 9 (Montowese Avenue) in the Towns of New Haven and North Haven Scheduled to Begin July 8, 2012
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a highway resurfacing project on I-91 through New Haven and North Haven, between Exits 8 and 9 will begin on Sunday night, July 8, 2012, and is expected to conclude before October 2012.
The project consists of milling, pavement repairs and resurfacing. Minor electrical work will occur at entrance / exit ramps to replace signal controls. DOT Project no. 0092-0658 was awarded Empire Paving at a cost of $1,385,931.20 on June 6, 2012 and is scheduled to be completed September 21, 2012.
LANE CLOSURE INFO - The majority of work will occur at night. Expect lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday.
