Pavement Preservation Project on Route 169 in Canterbury and Brooklyn Scheduled to Start Friday, August 17, 2012
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Route 169 in the Towns of Canterbury and Brooklyn will be subject to a pavement preservation treatment.  The area treated will be from milepost14.08 (Route 14) north to milepost 20.30 (Route 205).
The project consists of a pavement overlay utilizing a 3/8 inch rubberized chip seal and a 5/8 inch overlay of ultra-thin bonded hot mix asphalt.
DOT Project No. 22-104 was awarded to All States Asphalt, Inc. of Sunderland, MA at a cost of $1,158,000 on July 9, 2012 and is scheduled to be completed November 13, 2012.
The traveling public should expect lane closures utilizing alternating one-way traffic between the hours of 9:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Saturday.
