Rampart Road over Interstate 95 in Norwalk Scheduled to Open to
Traffic Wednesday, May 9, 2012, Weather Permitting
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Rampart Road between Jo-Mar Road and Route 1 will be reopened to traffic on or about Wednesday, May 9, 2012, weather permitting.
The project consists of replacing steel girders, concrete deck and various safety improvements. Repairs and modifications will be made to the existing piers and abutments. The contract was awarded to Rotha Contracting Company of Avon, CT on December 12, 2010, at a cost of $1,884,884.50 and is scheduled for completion June 2012.
