Reconstruction of Stillwater Road in the City of Stamford to Start on April 2, 2012
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the start of work for roadway reconstruction safety improvements on Stillwater Road in the City of Stamford will occur on April 2, 2012.
The project consists of roadway upgrades including spot safety improvements, new road alignment for improved sight distance, drainage upgrades, and reconstruction of the roadway between Stillview Road and Skyview Drive in the City of Stamford.
DOT Project No. 0135-0295 was awarded to Empire Paving Inc. of North Haven, CT on January 26, 2012 at a cost of $2,088,251.65. The current anticipated completion date is November 15, 2012.
The Contractor will be allowed to close Stillwater Road between Stillview Road and Skyview Drive and detour traffic Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The detour will be signed accordingly.
