Resurfacing, Route 53 and Route 57 in Weston
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a resurfacing project will be performed on Route 53 and Route 57 in Weston.
The project consists of resurfacing a 4.25 mile segment of Route 53 (Newtown Turnpike) from Valley Forge Road through the overlap of Route 57 (Weston Road), and ending in the vicinity of Norfield Road. A four mile section of Route 57 (Weston/Georgetown Road) will also be resurfaced between the Westport Town Line and Trails End Road. This project is scheduled to occur Monday, July 9, 2012 to Thursday, July 26, 2012.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2012 vendor-in-place Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Monday - Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
