Route 148 in Chester to be Closed to Through Traffic on Wednesday, July 11, 2012
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Route 148 between Main Street and East Liberty Street in the town of Chester is scheduled to be closed to through traffic on July 11, 2012. The closure is only planned to last one day and normal traffic operations will resume on Thursday, July 12, 2012.
The Contractor will be closing the road to install a drainage pipe across Route 148 to allow for the diversion of Great Brook.
DETOUR INFO- Traffic will be detoured onto Route 154 and Main Street. Local access to area businesses and residents will be allowed. Construction signs have been installed to detour traffic around the project site.
