Sunnyside Avenue in Watertown To Be Closed To Traffic Beginning Monday, June 18, 2012
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Sunnyside Avenue between Bushnell Avenue and Falls Avenue will be closed to traffic from June 18 until August 29, 2012. The closure is required for the replacement of a box culvert that carries Turkey Brook under Sunnyside Avenue.
The project consists of the full depth reconstruction of 2600 linear feet of Sunnyside Avenue and the replacement of twin existing pipes with twin box culverts at Turkey Brook.
DOT Project No. 0153-0113 was awarded to Dayton Construction Company, Inc. on March 4, 2011 at a cost of $2,906,506.00 and is scheduled to be completed on October 31, 2012.
DETOUR INFO – Motorists will be detoured onto Bushnell Avenue, Sylvan Avenue, and Falls Avenue.
