Traffic Flow Changes on Route 189 (Bloomfield Ave.) at the Intersection of Jerome Avenue, Turkey Hill Road and Gabb Road in the Town of Bloomfield
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is implementing traffic flow changes on Route 189, Bloomfield Avenue at the Intersection of Jerome Avenue, Turkey Hill Road and Gabb Road in the Town of Bloomfield effective Friday, December 28, 2012.
DOT Project 0011-0151 consists of widening Route 189 (Bloomfield Ave.) at the intersection of Turkey Hill Road and Gabb Road so that left hand turn lanes can be constructed. A separate intersection will be constructed for Jerome Ave. to the North of the existing intersection. Both intersections will have a new traffic signal system installed.
TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Access from Gabb Road to Route 189 will be restricted to a right turn only onto Route 189, and Jerome Avenue will be closed from Route 189 northbound at the intersection of Turkey Hill Road.
LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION
Variable message signs will be placed to notify the traveling public of the pending traffic flow changes.Motorists can expect lane closures Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
