Utility Project, Routes 2 and 32 in Norwich
The utility work consists of installing gas line laterals on a 0.66 mile segment of Routes 2/32 in Norwich between Sachem Street and Harland Road. This project is scheduled to occur on the evening of Tuesday, October 9, 2012, to the morning of Thursday, October 11, 2012.
This utility work is being performed under Encroachment Permit by the City of Norwich.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (Weeknights). One lane of alternating traffic will be maintained while work is being performed.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
