Utility Work on I-84 (East and Westbound), I-291, and Various Associated Ramps in Manchester
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that utility work involving the installation of overhead electrical cables will require brief road closures on I-84 (between Exit 61 and 62), I-291 and various associated ramps in Manchester. This work is expected to occur Monday, April 30, 2012.
There will be a total of four cables pulls lasting approximately three to six minutes for each pull. A full complement of traffic control personnel (including police presence), signing patterns and variable message boards will be utilized during the coordinated “rolling roadblocks” for the the cable pulls. The regular work schedule for this project is 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Monday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
