Bridge Repairs on Route 66 over the Natchaug River in Windham

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that repairs to the Route 66 bridge over the Natchaug River in Windham will begin August 26, 2013.

      The project consists of removing the existing concrete parapets and anchoring precast concrete barrier curb to the existing bridge deck.  

      DOT Project No. 0163-0202 was awarded to Rotha Contracting Company, Inc. of Avon, Connecticut, at a cost of approximately $250,000 on July 30, 2013, and is scheduled to be completed in September 2013. This is Bridge No. 00490.

LANE CLOSURE INFO- 

      Alternating one-way traffic is anticipated during the day between 7:00am and 4:00pm; however, extended hours may be necessary to complete some of the work.

Directional signs will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zones.

      Motorists are urged to obey the posted speed limit and to proceed with caution through this and all other construction work zones.
