CLOSURE REMINDER - Route 801, East Main Street in Waterbury To Be Closed

Friday, October 18 to Monday, October 21

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a weekend road closure is scheduled to begin on Friday, October 18 starting at 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2013, weather permitting.  

      A series of full road closures will be required to complete work associated with the rehabilitation of Bridge No. 02448 that carries Beaver Brook under East Main Street in Waterbury and is located between Midland Road and Meriline Road.

WEEKEND CLOSURE SCHEDULE - Closure hours are from 8 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday

Friday, October 18 to Monday October 21

Friday November 1 to Monday November 4

Friday, November 15 to Monday November 18

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.

DETOUR INFO

      East Main Street will be closed to thru traffic between Scott Road and Pierpont Road.  All traffic will be detoured using Interstate 84 Exit 25, Scott Road and Exit 25A, Austin Road.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Alternating one way traffic Monday–Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and some night work from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

      DOT Project no. 0151-0302 was awarded to Dayton Construction Co., Inc. at a cost of $1,783,791.00 on 4/11/13 and is scheduled to be completed by December 2013.
