Daytime Closure of Interstate 95 Northbound Off Ramp to U.S. 1 Bridgeport Avenue (Exit 34) in Milford Beginning Friday May 3, 2013
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the I-95 northbound off ramp to U.S. 1, Bridgeport Avenue (Exit 34) will be closed between the hours of 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning Friday May 3, 2013. Traffic will be detoured to Exit 35 and re-directed to U.S. Rt. 1 via Schoolhouse Road.
The daytime ramp closure is required to allow for construction of a noise barrier wall between the roadway and adjacent property. The daily closure is anticipated to continue for approximately six weeks.
DETOUR INFO I-95 northbound Exit 35 Closed Monday – Friday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Traffic will be detoured to Route 1 through I-95 Northbound, Exit 35 Off-Ramp and Schoolhouse Road. Motorists are advised to observe detour signage and follow the direction of traffic control police officers.
Special Advisory
I-95 lane widths are reduced to 11 feet during construction and the legal speed limit is 45 mph between Exits 33 and 34.

DOT Project No. 0138-0221 was awarded to Walsh Construction/PCL JV II of Canton, Mass. on July 8, 2011 with an official start date of August 22, 2011 and an anticipated completion date of August 31, 2016.
