East Main Street in Waterbury Closed Oct. 4-7 for Bridge Rehab; Detour Required
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a weekend road closure is scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday, October 4, through Monday, October 7 at 6 a.m. for the rehabilitation of the bridge that carries Route 801, East Main Street, over Beaver Brook in Waterbury.
The full closure is one of three weekend road closures scheduled to complete work necessary for the replacement of the precast concrete box culvert on East Main Street at Beaver Brook located between Midland Road and Meriline Road. This is Bridge No. 02448.
Additional weekend closures are scheduled for:
Friday, October 19 to Monday October 21, same times as above
Friday November 2 to Monday November 4, same times as above
DETOUR INFO:
East Main Street will be closed to thru traffic between Scott Road and Pierpont Road. All traffic will be detoured using Interstate 84 Exit 25, Scott Road and Exit 25A, Austin Road.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Alternating one way traffic Monday–Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and some night work from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
DOT Project no. 0151-0302 was awarded to Dayton Construction Co., Inc. at a cost of $1,783,791.00 on 4/11/13 and is scheduled to be completed by December 2013.
