Installation of Epoxy Resin Pavement Markings in Various Towns of Eastern Connecticut on Interstate 95
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of a project for the installation of epoxy resin pavement markings in eastern Connecticut on Interstate I-95 in the towns of East Lyme, New London, Groton, North Stonington. The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 15, 2013.
The project consists of the installation of epoxy resin pavement markings to maintain the contrast and retro-reflectivity of the existing pavement markings. The I-95 Northbound roadway work will cover approximately 20 miles, and the I-95 Southbound roadway work will cover approximately 22 miles.
DOT Project No. 0172-0412 was awarded to Hi-Way Safety Systems, Inc. of Rockland, MA at a cost of $609,115.00 on May 13, 2013, and is scheduled to be completed in September 2013.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
The roadway traffic will be impacted Monday through Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Fridays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., Saturdays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m., and Sundays from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Ramps may be closed for limited hours to complete the work. Advance warning and detour signs will be posted to assist motorists.
Please use caution as work vehicles will be moving slower than the posted speeds. When possible move over to provide a buffer lane during work activity.
