Installation of Epoxy Resin Pavement Markings on Interstate 84 Eastbound and westbound in Newtown, Middlebury and Waterbury
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a project for the installation of epoxy resin pavement markings on Interstate 84 eastbound and westbound in Newtown, Middlebury and Waterbury is scheduled to begin Sunday, April 21, 2013.
The project consists of the installation of durable epoxy resin pavement markings to maintain the legibility and retro-reflectivity of all existing pavement markings on Interstate 84 eastbound and westbound mainline and ramps.
DOT Project No. 0174-0365 was awarded to Hi-Way Safety Systems, Inc. at a cost of $541,420.00 on March 6, 2013 and is scheduled to be completed in mid-July.

Nighttime lane closures between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday evenings.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
