      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction work is expected to begin in August, 2013.  Construction sign installations will start during the week of August 12, 2013.

      The project consists of procuring and installing a pedestrian bridge to connect a new development project to the rail station platform.  The majority of this project will occur during the day, however some nighttime and weekend closures will be required to set the bridge structure.

      DOT Project no. 0301-0149 was awarded to Waters Construction, of Bridgeport, CT at a cost of $2,808,899.40 on May 1, 2013 and is scheduled to be completed in April 2014.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

      Work in the roadway at the corner of Station Place and Washington Boulevard will be performed Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
