Installation of Temporary Precast Concrete Barrier on Route 15, Merritt Parkway in Stamford and New Canaan
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that temporary barrier is being installed along the right shoulders on Route 15 in Stamford and New Canaan. The barrier work will begin in the southbound direction just north of the Exit 37 off ramp in New Canaan starting Monday night, November 18, 2013.
The
barrier installation will be along the right shoulders and be limited to two
1.5-mile work areas in each direction with a 1.5-mile buffer in between the
barrier locations. The project limits
extend from the Greenwich town line in Stamford just north of Exit 31, North
Street, to the vicinity of Exit 37, Route 124 (South Avenue) in New Canaan.
The
work areas will allow for pavement reconstruction and drainage installations
that are part of the resurfacing and safety improvement project. Once the two southbound work areas are
established, the contractor will install the two 1.5-mile work areas in the northbound
direction beginning at the Greenwich town line.
