The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing intermittent night time closures of I-84 in both directions at the Oakwood Avenue Bridge located between Exit 43, Park Road, and Exit 44, Prospect Avenue in West Hartford. The closures are scheduled for Tuesday, October 1 through Friday, October 4, 2013, between midnight and 5 a.m.
The
intermittent closures are necessary to complete removal of the
existing structural steel on the Oakwood Avenue Bridge over I-84.
The intermittent closures will occur several times during the hours
of midnight and 5 a.m. as each bridge girder is cut and removed to
the shoulder of the highway. Routine lane closures will be in effect
as early as 7 p.m. on I-84 westbound and 8 p.m. in the eastbound
direction.
SPECIAL
ADVISORY-
