Milling and Resurfacing along State Route 740 in Branford, Lane Closure Required

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Cedar Street (State Route 740) in Branford beginning Thursday, August 1, 2013.

      The project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.36 miles of SR 740 in Branford.  This project is scheduled to August 1-14, 2013.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, August 12, to Wednesday afternoon August 14, 2013.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on Cedar Street between .06 mile north of southbound access Interstate 95 and .05 mile south of Brookwood Drive. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Monday morning – Friday afternoon).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
