The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 74 in South Windsor and Ellington beginning August 20, 2013.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 4.23 mile segment of Route 74 in South Windsor and Ellington. This project is scheduled to occur Tuesday, August 20, to Monday, September 16, 2013. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed in South Windsor from August 22 through August 29, and in Ellington from September 3 through September 5.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 74 between Route 194 (Sullivan Avenue) in South Windsor and Route 286 (Pinney Street) in Ellington. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
