Milling and Resurfacing on Route 2 in North Stonington

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 2 in North Stonington. 

      The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.27 mile segment of Route 2 in North Stonington.  This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, October 21, 2013 through Tuesday, October 29, 2013.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on October 28, 2013 and October 29, 2013. 

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

      Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 2 at the I-95 bridge underpasses and the on/off ramp areas in North Stonington.  Certified traffic controllers (3) and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday). 

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
