Milling and Resurfacing Project, Route 85 in Salem
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 85 in Salem. The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 3.65 mile segment of Route 85 in Salem. This project is scheduled to occur Thursday, May 9, 2013, to Wednesday, May 22, 2013.
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 85 between Route 82 to the Colchester Town line. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Monday - Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
