MOTORIST ADVISORY - Expect Weekend Traffic Impacts in New Haven Friday night, November 22 into Saturday afternoon, November 23, 2013 during traffic shifts for the Q Bridge/I-95 Corridor Project

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction activities related to traffic shifts on I-95 Northbound between Exit 44, Kimberly Avenue and Exit 48, I-91 northbound are expected to cause significant traffic delays the weekend of November 22 to Saturday, November 23, 2013. Please plan ahead and consider alternate routes to get to your destination.

      Friday night, November 22, into Saturday afternoon, November 23, 2013, work to complete traffic shifts on I-95 northbound and the exit ramp from I-95 northbound to I-91 northbound (Exit 48) will be performed.  Lane and ramp closures will begin Friday, November 22 at 10 PM and conclude Saturday afternoon, November 23, 2013 at 3 PM. 

      Upon completion of the traffic shifts, motorists entering I-95 northbound from Long Wharf Drive will have access to I-91 northbound (Exit 48). 

Special Advisory – Yale vs. Harvard Game scheduled Saturday November 23, 2013 at 12 PM

      Those attending the Yale vs. Harvard Football Game and traveling I-95 northbound are encouraged to visit the official website of Yale University Athletics at http://yalebulldogs.com/thegame/index for directions.

LANE CLOSURE INFO-

   I-95 northbound exit ramp to I-91 northbound (Exit 48)

·         Reduced to a single lane 10 PM Friday, November 22 to 3 PM Saturday, November 23

   I-95 northbound between Kimberly Avenue (Exit 44) and the I-91 northbound exit ramp (Exit 48)

·         Reduced to a single lane 2 AM to 6 AM Saturday, November 23 and reduced to two lanes between 11 pm Friday and 2 AM Saturday, between and 6 AM and 3PM Saturday.
