Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-84 in East Hartford; Lane Closure Required

      A nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-84 eastbound at Exit 56 in East Hartford beginning October 7, 2013.

      The project consists of repairing the bridge on I-84 EB under the Turning Route 831 in East Hartford.  This project is scheduled to occur evenings from Monday, October 7 through the morning of Friday, October 25, 2013. 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Traffic control personnel, state police, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.(Monday through Friday).This work will involve a one-lane closure.

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
