Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-95 NB in Darien; Lane Closures Required

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 Northbound in Darien beginning on the evening of Monday, October 28, 2013.

      The project consists of asphaltic plug joint repairs to the I-95 NB Bridge over Route 1 (Boston Post Road) and the I-95 NB Bridge over Route 136 (Tokeneke Road) in Darien.

This project is scheduled to occur the evening of Monday, October 28, 2013 to the morning of Friday, November 1, 2013. 

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

      Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 NB between Exit 11 (Route 1, Boston Post Road) to Exit 13 (Route 1, Boston Post Road) in Darien.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday and Thursday evenings).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
