Nighttime Bridge Repairs along I-95 in Madison; Lane Closures Required

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime bridge repairs will continue on three bridges on I-95 northbound and southbound in Madison through August 30, 2013. Lane closures will be required.

The bridge work consists of structural steel repair on the bridges listed below:

Madison – Bridge # 212 over Mungertown Road
Madison – Bridge # 217 over New Road
Madison – Bridge # 218 over SSR 450 (Hammonasset Connector)

This project is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 Northbound and Southbound between Exit 59 (Goose Lane) and Exit 63 in Clinton.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday through Thursday evenings).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
