Nighttime Bridge Repairs along I-95 Northbound in Bridgeport

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime repairs will be performed on the bridge carrying northbound I-95 over Bridgeport Harbor and local roads beginning August 27, 2013.

      The work consists of bridge joint replacement and is scheduled August 7- through Friday, September 20, 2013.

      Because of the Labor Day holiday, there will be no work Sunday night or Monday night (Sept 1-2).

      This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2013 bridge maintenance program and is being performed by Costello Industries. This is Bridge #00111A.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

      Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 Southbound between Exit 25 (Route 130) and Exit 30 (Surf Avenue) Bridgeport.

      Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday evenings).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
