Nighttime Bridge Repairs along I-95 Northbound in Guilford

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that overnight bridge repairs will be performed on various bridges on I-95 northbound in Guilford, July 9-31, 2013. The project will require periodic lane closures.

      The bridge work consists of bridge joint replacement on the bridges listed below.  This work is scheduled to occur Tuesday, July 9, 2013 through Wednesday, July 31, 2013.

·         Bridge over Granite Road (57.62)

·         Bridge over Moose Hill Road (58.37)

·         Bridge over Route 1 (59.32)

·         Bridge over Long Hill Road - 59.83

·         Bridge over Route 77 (Church Street) - 60.23

·         Bridge over State Street (60.51)

      This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2013 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Costello Industries.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 Northbound between Exit 56 (Leetes Island Road) and Exit 59 (SR 718, Goose Lane) in Guilford.

      Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday evenings).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
