Nighttime Bridge Repairs along I-95 in Madison; Lane Closures Required

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime bridge repairs will continue along I-95, northbound and southbound, in Madison through September 27, 2013. 

      The bridge work consists of structural steel repair on the bridges listed below:

·         Bridge # 212 over Mungertown Road (63.48)

·         Bridge # 217 over New Road (66.17)

·         Bridge # 218 over SSR 450 (Hammonasset Connector) (66.43)

      This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2013 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

      Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 Northbound and Southbound between Exit 59 (Goose Lane) and Exit 63 (SB Exit to Route 81, Killingworth Turnpike) in Clinton.

      Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday through Thursday evenings).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
