Nighttime Bridge Repairs on I-95 in Stamford; Lane Closures Required
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime bridge repairs is being performed on various bridges on I-95 Northbound and Southbound in Stamford and will continue through November 15, 2013.
The bridge work consists of bridge joint replacement on the bridges listed below.
· Bridge over Greenwich Avenue and Rippowam River
· Bridge over Washington Blvd
· Bridge over Atlantic Street
· Bridge over Canal Street
· Bridge over Elm Street
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2013 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Costello Industries.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 Northbound and Southbound between Exit 7 (Greenwich Avenue) and Exit 9 (Seaside Avenue) in Stamford.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday evenings).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
