Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing along Route 8 in Colebrook and Winchester

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 8 Colebrook and Winchester beginning September 3, 2013.

      The project consists of resurfacing a 4.02-mile segment of Route 8 and is scheduled to occur September 3-17, 2013. 

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

      Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 8 between Route 44 in Winchester and .3 miles N/O Sandy Brook Rd in Colebrook.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on September 3, 4, 9 & 10, and 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. on September 11, 12, 13,16 & 17.

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
