Nighttime Ramp Closures Scheduled for I-84 Eastbound Off Ramp

 To Harper’s Ferry Road (Exit 25) in Waterbury

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the ramp from I-84 eastbound to Harper’s Ferry Road (Exit 25) in Waterbury is scheduled to be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22 through Thursday, October 24, 2013.  The ramp closure is required to complete replacement of bridge joints on the structure.

      The work consists of the removal of the existing bridge deck joints across the full width and replacement with new concrete and asphaltic plug joints. 

This location is one of 13 bridges that are being completed as part of DOT Project No. 0174-0364, which was awarded to Arborio Corporation at a cost of $2,283,130.00 on July 26, 2013, and is scheduled to be completed November 22, 2014.

DETOUR INFO- 10/15/13 to 10/17/13 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

      Route I-84 east off ramp to Harper’s Ferry Road, Exit 25, closed.

      Motorists will be detoured to Exit 25A, Austin Road.  The detour will direct motorists onto Austin Road then onto I-84 westbound on ramp where they will exit I-84 west to Harper’s Ferry Road.
