Nighttime Traffic Loop Installation on I-84 Westbound in Southington-Plainville
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime traffic loop installation project will be performed on Route I-84 WB in Southington-Plainville, overnight Sunday to Monday, September 29-30, 2013. A detour may be required.
The traffic loop installation project will be performed at night on a 3.39 mile segment of I-84 in Southington-Plainville. This project is scheduled to begin just before midnight, Sunday, September 29, and be completed about 5 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2013.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on I-84 WB, Southington-Plainville. State Police and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. If required, motorist will be guided through a short durational detour to Exit 33 (Route 72 WB) to Exit 1 for Route 177. Take a left and a left again onto Route 72 EB where they can follow the signs to I-84 WB. The times of the detour will be progressive, taking First Lane at 7:00 p.m., Second Lane at 9:00 p.m., Full Closure at 10:00 p.m. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (weekdays).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
