Overnight Ramp Closure Scheduled for Interstate 84 Eastbound Off-Ramp to Harper’s Ferry Road (Exit 25) in Waterbury Beginning Wednesday Night, October 30th, until Thursday Morning, October 31, 2013
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the ramp from I-84 eastbound to Harper’s Ferry Road (Exit 25) in Waterbury is scheduled to be closed on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at 10 p.m. until 6 a.m., Thursday, October 31, 2013. The ramp closure is required to complete replacement of bridge joints on the structure.
The work consists of the removal of the existing bridge deck joints across the full width and replacement with new concrete and asphaltic plug joints.
This location is one of thirteen bridges that are being serviced as part of DOT Project no. 0174-0364. The project was awarded to Arborio Corporation at a cost of $2,283,130.00 on July 26, 2013, and is scheduled to be completed November 22, 2014.
DETOUR INFO-
Motorists will be detoured to Exit 25A, Austin Road. The detour will direct motorists onto Austin Road then onto I-84 westbound on-ramp where they will exit I-84 west to Harper’s Ferry Road.
