Reconstruction of Flatbush Avenue Connector and Wetland Mitigation in Hartford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work associated with the reconstruction of the new Flatbush Avenue I-84 on-ramp, demolition of the existing on-ramp and a wetland creation/mitigation for the CTfastrak project in Hartford is scheduled to start on Monday, August 19, 2013.
There will be minimal impacts on vehicular traffic through this area.
There are two projects combined in one contract, known as CTfastrak Contract 9. The first project is reconstruction of Flatbush Avenue Connector and the second project is the Wetland Creation/Mitigation project.
DOT Project No. 0063-0601/0674 was awarded to Manafort Brothers, Inc. of Plainville, Connecticut on July 8, 2013 at a cost of $14,303,587.86. The project is being administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction District 4, Thomaston and is scheduled to be completed on June 28, 2016.
