The project consists of resurfacing the Southington Rest Area on I-84 EB in Southington. The work is anticipated to be performed on Saturday, September 28, 2013.

Motorists can expect the Southington Rest Area to be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a high possibility to open partially in the early afternoon. A Variable Message Board has been placed for early warning of the closure and will be in place during the day Saturday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
