Scheduled Bridge Maintenance will require closure of the Yellow Mill Drawbridge on Route 130 in Bridgeport
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that bridge maintenance will require closure of the Yellow Mill Drawbridge on Route 130 in Bridgeport. The work consists of repairing limit switches and performing routine maintenance on the Yellow Mill Drawbridge. This work is scheduled to occur Tuesday, May 7, 2013 and Wednesday, May 8, 2013.
The following detour will be implemented while work is being performed: Westbound motorists will be directed to use Seaview Avenue, Crescent Avenue, Waterview Avenue and return to Route 130. Eastbound motorists will follow the reverse route.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the detour. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Tuesday and Wednesday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
