Update: Southbound Putnam Bridge Closure is CANCELED for this Weekend, Oct. 4-7

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the full closure of Route 3 southbound scheduled for this upcoming weekend, October 4 – 7, 2013 is being canceled.  The Department and the contractor, Mohawk Industries, are using an alternative maintenance and protection of traffic plan that allows work to be completed without fully closing the southbound direction.  Some weekend closures are still scheduled and may be revised once the Department completes reassessing closure needs with the contractor. 

The full closures still scheduled are for the following weekends:

• 10/18-10/21
• 10/25-10/28
• 11/1-11/4

LANE CLOSURE INFO: Contractor scheduled lane closures that will be in effect

Monday-Friday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. 

Saturday-Sunday: no restricted hours and expect traffic to be reduced to one lane in each direction
