Work Scheduled on Route 9 in the Towns of Cromwell, Newington, Berlin and New Britain Beginning Monday, May 6, 2013
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work related to the pavement preservation project on Route 9 in the Towns of New Britain, Berlin, Newington and Cromwell that began in 2012 is scheduled to restart Monday, May 6, 2013.
The work consists of asphaltic plug joint replacement and new epoxy pavement markings along a seven mile stretch of Route 9 between Interchange 20 (I-91) in Cromwell to Interchange 25 (Ellis Street) in New Britain Interchange 29 (Route 175) in Newington.
DOT Project no. 0033-0128 was awarded to Tilcon CT at a cost of $5,088,534.75 on June 29, 2012 and is scheduled to be completed in June 2013.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
- Monday through Thursday from 9 P.M. to 6 A.M.
- Fridays 9 P.M. to 8 A.M. Saturday, and 10 P.M. to 9 A.M. Sunday
- Sundays 10 P.M. to 6 A.M. Monday
